There are a lot of ways to stream live NFL games. From live TV streamers to dedicated NFL apps and services, one of them rises above all others – like Kelce compared to all the other tight ends in the league. It is by far the single best NFL streaming option in the world. Unfortunately, that world doesn’t include America.
But what is it, and can you get it? Let’s get into that.

What is the best NFL streaming service?
NFL Game Pass is by far the best, most comprehensive NFL streaming service.

What is NFL Game Pass?
NFL Game Pass is one of 4 official NFL streaming services. It was an in-house operation from 2009 until 2016, until 3 other companies acquired the rights and operating responsibilities. One of those companies was DAZN, and starting this season, it’s the sole operator of NFL Game Pass.
What makes it the best way to stream NFL?
NFL Game Pass is not only the best NFL streaming option, it’s the best way to watch NFL period. Forget satellite, forget TV – they don’t even come close. NFL Game Pass is the only option that has everything. And I mean everything.
But let’s see how it compares to the other NFL streaming options out there.
NFL Game Pass has stats on-demand
When watching live NFL games (or recorded games, for that matter) on NFL Game Pass, you get up-to-the-minute game stats with the click of a button. You get player stats for all the skill players in the game as well as defense and team stats.
When you’re watching recorded games, it will only show you the stats up to the point in the game that you’re watching, so you don’t need to be worried about spoilers.

It’s better than NFL Sunday Ticket
For starters, the highly coveted NFL Sunday Ticket costs more than twice the price of NFL Games Pass. And then it gives you almost nothing. You get out-of-market games for $450 per season. You can’t even watch your home team. And if you want NFL RedZone, that’ll be another $40.
It’s better than NFL+
Next up is the NFL streaming service that replaced the old US version of NFL Game Pass, NFL+. Sure, the Premium plan is half the price of NFL Game Pass, but you can only watch live games on mobile devices and there are no out-of-market games.

It’s better than NFL Network
We don’t even need to talk about NFL Network, seeing as it only has 8 live NFL games this season.
It’s better than live TV streaming services
Unless you need to watch out-of-market games live, all of the live TV streaming services are a better option than the over-priced, underwhelming NFL Sunday Ticket. And they’re better than NFL+ Premium – unless you enjoy watching live sports huddled over a phone.
But NFL Game Pass doesn’t make you choose between live and recorded. Watch what you want, when you want. Game Pass also offers a lot more football content at a much lower price. But if you’ve already got a live TV streaming service, that’s a different story.
It’s better than on-demand streaming services
The on-demand streaming services with live NFL games are all fairly limited in what games they offer. Prime Video only has Thursday Night Football, Paramount+ only has the (mostly AFC) games broadcast on CBS and the Super Bowl, and Peacock only has Sunday Night Football, and one Wild Card game.
Our table compares all the games, features, and prices of all the ways you can watch NFL games without able or satellite. There’s rarely such a clear winner. But this champion comes with one major catch – most NFL fans won’t be able to get it.

So… who is NFL Game Pass for?
NFL Game Pass is for anyone living outside the United States, Canada, China, and Russia. DAZN has 200 countries and regions on its list of Game Pass markets, so it’s a fairly big market. But for American football, the biggest market is still at home.
Is NFL Game Pass available in the United States?
No. It is NOT.
If you’re thinking to yourself “I could swear my neighbor had Game Pass a couple of seasons ago”, that may be so. As noted above there used to be a homegrown version of NFL Game Pass available in the US, hence the confusion. But like the knees of Nick Nolte in North Dallas Forty (one our favorite football movies), its gone for good.
Also, it was possible to watch NFL Game Pass (International) using a VPN without any problem. That is not longer case. DAZN appears to be a little stricter when it comes to location monitoring.
Does NFL Game Pass work with a VPN?
Sometimes.
There are no guarantees that you’ll be able to watch DAZN with a VPN, as they’re quite diligent in that regard. Therefore, if you are signing up to DAZN via another country, go with a VPN that has multiple servers in the country you choose. That’ll give you more options when trying to log in.
If you can watch NFL Game Pass with a VPN, please let us know which VPN you’re using (and which country).

NFL Game Pass price plans
If you’re overseas or manage to have a VPN that works, there are 2 plans to choose from – a free plan and the one with all the live football games (and replays).
The free plan is called Highlights & more, and that’s basically what you get. Although, you do get NFL Network for free, which is great. But to watch live NFL games (and replays) and a whole lot more, you’ll want the NFL Game Pass Season Pro plan.
As it’s a global service, there are different prices. Here are a few prices from around the world, most of convert to around $180 in US dollars, give or take a Hamilton.
- Game Pass price in the UK: £150.99
- Game Pass price in Japan: ¥26,800
- Game Pass price in Brazil: R$384.90
- Game Pass price in France: €198.99

What are other ways to watch live NFL games?
If you’re not overseas – or happen to have a VPN capable of world domination – you’re probably wondering about your (non-cable or satellite) options for watching live NFL games.
As mentioned above, the league has other official platforms – NFL+ and NFL Sunday Ticket, plus the 8 live games on NFL Network.
