With all the ways to watch NFL football without cable nowadays, the options can get overwhelming. One of those options is NFL Game Pass. And it is by far, without question, the best way to stream NFL football. So it’s rather infuriating that the vast majority of NFL fans can’t watch it.

In 25 words or less, what is NFL Game Pass?
NFL Game Pass is an official streaming service of the NFL. Operated by DAZN, it’s for people outside the United States and Canada.
Where can you watch NFL Game Pass?
People outside the United States, Canada, China, and Russia can subscribe to NFL Game Pass. DAZN offers the service in 200 countries and regions around the world.
You must sign up for it in the country you live in, and you can only access DAZN in the country where you created your account. So if you travel overseas during the season, you can’t watch your subscription during your trip. Even if you sign up in the UK and travel to Japan – 2 countries with NFL Game Pass – you still won’t be able to watch any games.
And if you’re thinking that you’ll just use a VPN like you do with your Max or Hulu accounts, take heed. DAZN runs a tier-one defense against the VPN sweep. We’ve had moderate success watching DAZN with top-tier VPNs, so there’s no guarantee you’ll be able to watch your game on time.
Can you get NFL Game Pass in the United States?
No.
We figured this is worth repeating because there used to be two (2) services called NFL Game Pass. And they were completely different. So asking what is NFL Game Pass? could result in 2 different answers.
Before the 2022 season, there was a service called NFL Game Pass available in the US. But it was nothing like the NFL Game Pass International service. The US version was replaced last year by NFL+ (which only lets you watch live games on mobile devices).

This is another point worth repeating for people who like to skim articles or go straight to the question at hand.
The short answer is… MAYBE.
We’ve been completely shutdown at times, but we’ve also had some victories watching NFL Game Pass on DAZN with a VPN. YMMV, so don’t let us stop you from trying. If you do have some success watching NFL Game Pass with a VPN, please let us know which one and which country!
Up until last season, there was no problem watching NFL Game Pass with a VPN. But that’s no longer the case.
When it launched in 2009, NFL Game Pass was an in-house operation of the NFL. It operated like that for 7 years, before moving out. It was then run by OverTier, Perform Group, and DAZN in various regions until DAZN took over the whole show as part of a 10-year deal.
With its global dominance cemented for the next decade – and NFL Game Pass in 200 countries and regions – DAZN has cracked down on VPNs. So if you DO decide to sign up for DAZN in a through a VPN, choose one with multiple servers in your country of choice.

Is NFL Game Pass worth it?
What is NFL Game Pass in value compared to NFL Sunday Ticket? At around half the price and a lot more football, it’s a steal. What is NFL Game Pass compared to NFL+ (and NFL+ Premium)? It’s still a steal at even at roughly twice the price (or the same price depending on where you live), considering how much more live NFL games and other content you get.
If you live outside the US, Canada, China, and Russia, NFL Games Pass is definitely worth it. Our only complaint is that the customer service has never been good – and still isn’t under DAZN – but it’s still the best NFL football streaming service on Earth.
If you can get, get it. It’s that simple.
