A big difference between regular TV and streaming services is screen limits. Every streaming service has screens limits on how many devices you can watch at once.

Here’s all you need to know about the number of simultaneous Starz screens you can watch at once in 2024.

How many Starz screens can you watch at once?

Four (4).

That’s right, you can watch 4 simultaneous devices on Starz. Not bad, right?

Unlike Netflix and Max, Starz is one of the streaming services that does NOT lock more concurrent streams behind higher priced tiers. Of course, it helps that there’s only one Starz price plan.

Take a look at how Starz stream limits (and other features) stack up against the competition in the table below.

Do downloads count against your Starz screen limit?

Watching downloaded movies and shows on Starz does not count against your stream limit. So if you are looking for a way to watch more concurrent Starz screens, you can always download the things you want to watch. But keep in mind you can only watch downloads on mobile devices.

How to know when someone’s watching your Starz

If you try to start watching Starz and get an error warning “Stream Limit Exceeded” (or something similar), that means you’ve already got 4 devices watching your Starz account. But what if you’re not already watching 4 simultaneous Starz streams?

Just log in to your Starz account using a web browser. Navigate to Settings > Active Devices and you’ll see all of the devices that have access to your Starz account.

The page also tells you what type of device each one is (ex: browser, Android, Fire TV), where it last logged in, and when it was last active.

With the what, where, and when in front of you, you don’t need to be Shawn Spencer or Veronica Mars to figure out who’s watching your Starz account. (You might even discover that it’s you!)

How to stop someone from watching your Starz

Fortunately, you can also take action when you realize someone else is watching your Starz account. (Or you’ve just left yourself logged in on too many devices.) You can remove individual devices or log out all Starz devices with a few mouse clicks.

Just follow these steps in a web browser:

  1. Log in to your Starz account with a web browser
  2. Hover over your profile icon in the top-right corner
  3. Click Settings in the dropdown menu
  4. Active Devices tells you how many devices are logged in
  5. Click Manage Devices to view all devices logged into your Starz account
  6. Click Remove beneath the devices you want to boot off
  7. You can also click Log Out Everywhere to remove all devices from your account

Other limits on Starz

While the limit of 4 Starz screens is above the industry standard 2 or 3 screens, there are some other account limits you may want to be aware of.

How many devices can you download Starz videos on?

You can spread your Starz downloads across a total of 6 devices.

How many videos can you download on Starz?

You can have a total of 25 Starz downloads at one time.

How many Starz profiles can you make?

You can create up to 5 profiles on Starz, including the main profile.

You get a personal watch history, Playlist, and recommendations for each profile. But sorry, each profile doesn’t get its own device limit! They all combine to count against your overall Starz concurrent streams.

Can you add more streams to Starz?

No.

You can only watch 4 Starz screens at once and there is no way to increase the limit. The only way to get more streams on Starz is to sign up for another account.
