13 Streaming Services That Accept PayPal in 2024

Despite stagnant features, subpar usability, and increasing (and better) competition, PayPal remains the world’s biggest digital payment platform. In fact, it’s the 3rd-biggest payment company after Visa and Amex.

But finding streaming services that accept PayPal still isn’t a guarantee. And sometimes it’s not listed as an option when signing up, even if it is an option.

And while you can’t use PayPal with all streaming services, most major platforms accept it in 2024. So read on for the full list of major streaming services that accept PayPal as of May 2024.

NOTE: This list refers to streaming services that accept PayPal directly. Most of them have 3rd-party billing partners that often accept PayPal.

On-demand streaming services that accept PayPal

This is an alphabetical list all of the major on-demand streaming services that accept PayPal as of May 2024.

Also, just to state the obvious, all of the streaming services listed below accept the 4 major credit cards—American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa. The other currently available payment methods for each streaming service are listed as well.

Apple TV+

Apple TV+ accepts PayPal directly as a payment method.

Other ways to pay for Apple TV+ include gift cards, Apple Pay, Apple Card, and your Apple Account Balance.

Disney+

Disney+ accepts PayPal directly as a payment method.

Other ways to pay for Disney+ include debit cards and 3rd-party billing.

Hulu

Hulu accepts PayPal directly as a payment method.

Other ways to pay for Hulu include debit cards, gift cards, 3rd-party billing, and Venmo. Hulu was the first (and still the only) streaming service to accept Venmo. However, you may not see it listed as a payment option. In that case, contact Hulu Customer Support.

Max

HBO’s Max accepts PayPal directly as a payment method.

Other ways to pay for Max include debit cards, 3rd-party billing, and JCB credit cards. In fact, Max is the only streaming service in the US that accepts JCB credit cards.

Netflix

Netflix accepts PayPal directly as a payment method.

Other ways to pay for Netflix include debit cards, gift cards, and 3rd-party billing.

Paramount+

Paramount+ accepts PayPal directly as a payment method.

Other ways to pay for Paramount+ include gift cards and 3rd-party billing.

Peacock accepts PayPal directly as a payment method.

Other ways to pay for Peacock include debit cards and 3rd-party billing.

Starz

Starz accepts PayPal directly as a payment method.

Other ways to pay for Starz include gift cards and 3rd-party billing.

DirecTV Stream

DirecTV Stream accepts PayPal directly as a payment method.

Other ways to pay for DirecTV Stream include debit cards and gift cards.

Hulu + Live TV

Hulu + Live TV accepts PayPal directly as a payment method.

Other ways to pay for Hulu + Live TV are the same as Hulu (on-demand) above. These include debit cards, gift cards, and Venmo.

Philo

Philo accepts PayPal directly as a payment method.

Other ways to pay for Philo include debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Cash App, and 3rd-party billing.

As far as we’ve found, Philo is the only streaming service that currently accepts Cash App. If you know of another, please drop us a comment below!

Sling TV

Sling TV accepts PayPal directly as a payment method.

Other ways to pay for Sling TV include gift cards and 3rd-party billing.

YouTube TV

YouTube TV accepts PayPal directly as a payment method.

Other ways to pay for YouTube TV include debit cards and Google Pay.

Notable streaming services that do NOT accept PayPal

These are the most popular streaming services that do not currently accept PayPal. However, you can subscribe to most of these through a third-party partner.

AMC+

AMC+ does not currently accept PayPal directly.

However, you can subscribe to AMC+ through 3rd-party partners that may accept PayPal.

MGM+

MGM+ does not currently accept PayPal directly.

However, you can subscribe to MGM+ through 3rd-party partners that accept PayPal.

Prime Video

Prime Video does not currently accept PayPal directly.

And it’s actually the only streaming services that leaves PayPal completely out in the cold, because it does not allow for 3rd-party billing.

Amazon accepts plenty of other payment methods, but if you’re set on using PayPal, you’re out of luck.

Screambox

Screambox does not currently accept PayPal directly.

However, you can subscribe to Screambox through 3rd-party partners that accept PayPal.

Shudder

Shudder does not currently accept PayPal directly.

However, you can subscribe to Shudder through 3rd-party partners that accept PayPal.

Final thoughts on paying for a streaming service with PayPal
